Current Research Activity
Building on Steve's professional industry experience at Sony PlayStation his current research
focuses on all aspects of 3D cgi animation development, including techniques, historical precedents
(traditions and principles) and contemporary products.
Research statement
"Throughout my academic career I have become increasingly fascinated with the art of
storytelling, primarily through the 3D cgi character driven short animation format. My research is
developing this interest and I hope to be able to spend a greater amount of time pursuing it in the
near future."
Steve maintains links with post-production companies in Sydney having worked for many of them
in a freelance capacity through 2000-2003.
