Current Research Activity

As an urban design practitioner, much of Michael Garbutt's recent work has centred on urban corridor development, the most recent manifestation of linear city form. Michael is currently exploring the historical trajectory of linear city developments and the future prospects of the form. Drawing together his research in the seemingly disparate areas of psychotherapy and landscape, I am examining the concept of "the restorative space".
