Introductory Profile:
Jacqueline Clayton’s interdisciplinary work investigates systems of classification, issues of
home/homeland, identity and the relationship of history to memory and to the present. In
particular, it examines the role of objects in definitions of place and self. Jacqueline’s most
recent research, while continuing to engage these key concerns, focuses on the application of
industrial technologies and processes in the design, production and reception of “one-off” and
limited-run ceramic objects.
