COFA Staff and artist Peter Sharp invites his audience to engage with shape and form derived from the arachnid's web in his upcoming exhibition entitled web at Liverpool Street Gallery. Sharp has an affinity with nature, as is evident in his previous body of works, and choses the spider for its propensity to create rhythmic patterns and beauty as evident in its web.
Meticulously drawn en plein air, the charcoal drawings embody the web and its incumbent dew as a spatial creation, while the paintings explore fully the textural and compositional elements.

When:
Saturday 13 September – Thursday 9 October 2008
