Learning and Teaching Indicators are a set of expectations that the Faculty is asked to meet with
regard to the experience of our students and the systems we have in place for improving our
learning and teaching at COFA.
Faculty funding and project opportunities have been related to performance in these critical
indicators.
The Indicators are divided into “output” indicators, which are measures of student and
graduate satisfaction and “input” indicators, which are measures of the Faculty’s activities and
achievements in learning and teaching.
For 2008, the “input” indicators will look at performance in 2007 in the following areas:
1. Academic Development, including participation of new staff in FULT and support for
sessional staff
2. Quality of Course Outlines
3. Implementation of the CATEI process
4. Development and Implementation of the COFA Learning and /Teaching PLan
The “Output” indicators for 2008 are based on a number of indicators from the following
measures of student and graduate satisfaction:
1. Course Experience Questionnaire completed by graduating students
2. UNSW Student Experience Survey 2008
