Student Experience @ COFA

COFA is undergoing a project 'Enhancing the Student Experience at COFA: A Quality Development Initiative' in conjunction with the Quality and Systems Development Group (QSDG) at UNSW. 

The purpose of this project is to identify areas of strength as well as areas needing particular improvement.  The project will support improvement in the Student Experience through the development of effective processes for ongoing evaluation and improvement. 

The project will provide enhanced understanding of factors that influence student satisfaction, continuity of enrolment, progression, completing of programs and courses and subsequent employment or other preferred career pathways. 

The project goals are:

• to investigate and identify the most important factors which define and influence the COFA Student Experience, as defined by COFA students
• to establish a baseline of information on, evaluate and report on the quality of key aspects of the COFA Student Experience
• to increase student awareness and confidence that COFA is committed to continually enhancing the Student Experience based on students' needs and characteristics

The project includes an evaluation of the COFA Student Experience in 2005 using a professionally designed survey that will provide COFA with baseline data on student satisfaction and it will allow the Faculty to identify areas in need of improvement or support.  Outcomes of the COFA Student Experience Survey will be communicated to students and staff in 2006.
