UNDERGRADUATE FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM
The
COFA Online Course Author Fellowship Program was developed to provide academic
staff with time and support to gain skills, understanding and confidence to write and deliver
quality online art and design courses.
Participants in the Fellowship Program comprises existing full-time staff and industry
professionals who work within an
active and dynamic community of peers, and are supported by a series of regular workshops.
In addition, COFA Online offers a Fellowship Alumni Program, where all teachers of online courses
can maintain their community and meet regularly to reflect on their online teaching practice.
Through this program, COFA Onlineās courses have grown in number from one in 2003, to thirty
in 2006, with around seven hundred and twenty five student enrolments. Evaluations have shown that
the level of student satisfaction within these courses is consistently high, due to the quality of
material being produced from the pooled knowledge and resources of the Fellowship community.
COFA Online will be focusing on postgraduate coursework online education as we head into
2007. If you are an academic or industry professional who is interested in writing and teaching a
fully online course in a creative discipline please contact us, as we are always interested in
working with enthusiastic people with new ideas in education.
POSTGRADUATE FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM
With the introduction of COFA Online's new fully online Master of Cross-Disciplinary
Art and Design by coursework, a new Fellowship program was required to assist course authors in the
development of quality postgradaute online electives. The Postgraduate Fellowship draws upon the
techniques and resources established through the undergraduate Fellowship program, and focuses on
ensuring the pedagogy of the electives is to a high postgraduate standard.
COFA Online staff are also available to assist in similar staff training by facilitating
workshops in online course structuring and delivery techniques through tailored Course Author
Fellowship Programs at other institutions. The workshops can be aimed at differing levels of
experience and over varying time periods. Contact us for further information.
