Jordana Maisie, The Real Thing, 2008, live interactive video installation
COFA graduate and artists, Jordana Maisie, has recently returned home from a recent 3 month mentorship stint overseas in Berlin Germany with media artist and software designer Mark Coniglio. Upon returning Maisie learnt that she was the recipient of the Art and Australia Contemporary Art Award. The award aims to promote the work of emerging artists, publishing an image of the winners’s work on the back cover of the Art and Australia magazine.
Maisie received the award for her interactive media works that critique and explore human relationships with technologically based media. You can see Maisie’s work at Bathurst Regional Gallery until the 20 September in a new media group survey exhibition entitled Showing Off.
