Can you feel it?
About this time of year, every year, there is a distinct change in atmosphere around the COFA
campus. People walk more quickly. Conversations are interrupted as staff and students
remember things that need to get done.
The general frantic chaos is due to worry in relation to pulling off the biggest exhibition
that COFA hosts – The COFA ANNUAL.
On the student side of things, the exhibition is the grand finale to years of study.
The exhibition gives students the opportunity to showcase the best of their artwork to thousands of
viewers. Nerves are high not only because this is the largest show that most of the students
have ever participated in but also because this is the last time that many of these emerging
artists will exhibit as part of the College of Fine Arts.
The COFA ANNUAL in this sense has become a rite of passage before students graduate and enter
into the world of full-time work as professional practitioners – be it as artists, designers,
critics, administrators, or teachers.
The College invites you to attend the ANNUAL 07 Exhibition and view for yourself the
innovative styles and creations of more than 350 emerging artists, designers and new media artists.
Visual disciplines on exhibit include:
Animation, Ceramics, Drawing, Digital Imaging, Environments, Graphics, Installation,
Interactive Media, Jewellery, Motion Graphics, Object, Painting, Photography, Printmaking,
Sculpture, Sound, Textiles, and Video.
