Karen Ho and Willa Stanton have been awarded the 2004 Dr. Gene and Brian Sherman Scholarship for Art Administration.

For the last eight years Gene and Brian Sherman have given a scholarship to partially offset the costs of students undertaking the coursework Master of Art Administration at COFA. They initiated the scholarship program when rising costs of postgraduate study meant that some talented students felt unable to complete their degrees.

Past winners of the Sherman scholarship include Natalie Seiz, who is now the Assistant Curator of Asian Art at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Kiersten Fishburn, audience Development Officer for Accessible Arts, and Nina Berrell, who is completing her studies in Paris.

As well as providing the scholarship program, Gene and Brian Sherman also enable Master of Art Administration students to undertake internships at Sherman Galleries.
