Each year, several emerging Australian artists are supported by the Freedman Foundation to travel overseas to gain inspiration and guidance in the development of their art practice.

The 2008 Freedman Scholars names and details are under embargo until September 4, 2008.
The Freedman Foundation is a private philanthropic organisation which provides funding in medicine, science, music and the arts.
