When:
Wed, 1 Nov, '06
Where: The Attic, Arthouse Hotel
The ArtHouse Hotel is devoted to drinking, cuisine and culture. One of its venues is The
Attic, a space far removed from the clinical 'white cube' of the conventional gallery and far
removed from your 'typical' Aussie pub.
Coasting takes place here. It is an exhibition in which
the humble coaster takes on the role of canvas - and patrons assume artist-status through doodles,
scribbles and statements. The coasters have been 'created' in drinking venues all over Sydney. But
for one night only they come together in The Attic.
The pace of the exhibition mirrors the transience of its subject. We want our exhibition to
be as intense and short- lived as a night on the town.
When: Wednesday November 1st- 6pm
Where: The Attic, Arthouse Hotel, 275 Pitt St
