COFA SPRING FAIR Workshops open for bookings

The COFA SPRING FAIR team are pleased to announce that the ever popular workshops are now open for bookings.
Taking place on Saturday September 9 SPRING FAIR 06 will be bigger and brighter than ever.

This year the FREE to the public practical workshops on offer are:

Adult 1: Assemblage Sculpture F213 FULL

Manipulating multiples and repetition, you will transform everyday found objects into small contained sculptures
11:00am to 12:00pm

Adult 2: Dynamic and Contemporary Watercolour F216 FULL

Using bold and strong colours, you will render the urban landscape in a colourful and contemporary way

11:00am to 12:00pm

Adult 3: Directing Techniques for Film F212 FULL

Acquire the skills to frame, find interesting angles and compose shots for your own films and videos
12:15pm to 1:15pm

Adult 4: Photographing Artworks F216  FULL

Learn the techniques and tricks involved in photographing artworks
12:15pm to 1:15pm

Adult 4: Photographing Artworks F216  EXTRA CLASS PLACES AVAILABLE

2:30pm to 3:30pm

Kids 1  (aged 5 – 10): Sculpture for Kids F213 FULL

Exploring shapes form and scale you will create funky 3D sculptures
1:30pm to 2:15pm

Kids 2  (aged 5 -10) Collaged Self-Portrait F216  FULL

By filling your own silhoette with lots of colour and pattern you will create a big bold striking portriat with a difference
1:30pm to 2:15pm

Older Kids 2 (aged 11 – 15)  Still life from Scratch F213 FULL

Cross hatch and etch scratch art paper to create a dramatic black and white still life
2:30pm – 3:30pm

If you miss out on getting a place in a FREE workshop don't worry as there will be plenty of interactive acitivites and demonstrations to particpate in and observe, including a collaborative charcoal drawing wall, shibori dyeing and felting demonstrations, art material displays, Cicada Press artist printmaking demonstrations with well known Australian artists and lots more available on the day.

Allocation of workshop places is at the discretion of COFA.
