Once again we re-surface to find ourselves swaying with the swell of new talent. Immersed in ideas we ponder our position, the positions of others and how to navigate our way ahead. If previous annuals are any gauge of what is to come then brace yourselves for an all hands on deck experience covering the most turbulent seas to the calmest of waters.

COFAspace is proud to present the 2008 Graduating Printmakers from COFA. Skillfully guided by Michael Kempson, Head of Printmaking and Director of Cicada Press, the works on display highlight the diverse interests and styles of the students while also providing an intimate portal to the breadth of Printmaking styles and techniques.

While Graduation can be an important coming of age it is a time to reflect upon our travels and experiences and plot a course ahead. Whether one sinks or swims has little to do with one's chosen craft or even how we manage it, it comes down to our skill, our flexibility to adapt to the forever changing elements and our knowledge of the past and what we want for our future. The seas ahead glisten in the sun and reflect the changing conditions with more clarity than any mirror. How we position ourselves and utilise our strengths can get us to where we want to go but more importantly it can open us to lifes's deeper secrets and new discoveries.
