Studying & Living in Sydney
COFA is located in the heart of Paddington in Sydney, just minutes by bus to the centre of Sydney. Nearby suburbs include Darlinghurst and Surry Hills.

Information on share accommodation and local properties to rent can be found in the accommodation sections of Sydney’s metropolitan newspapers and online.

Local Councils are also a good source of community information. The Councils in closest proximity to COFA UNSW are:

  • The City of Sydney
  • Waverley Council
  • Woollahra Council

The UNSW Housing Office can assist new students to find accommodation and provides self-catering apartments on and near the main campus.

Orientation

COFA's Orientation Program is held before the beginning of each semester.  O Week is a chance to learn  about the University, local transport system and be guided through the  procedures necessary for life on campus and in Australia.  You will receive a package of orientation materials containing campus and city maps, bus timetables  and other useful information.

Enrolment
Enrolment at COFA UNSW is carried out online. The COFA International Office and the COFA Student Centre can provide information and assistance.

Sydney has a temperate climate with warm to hot summers and mild winters.
Summer: December to February 20 – 32oC
Autumn: March to May  14 – 26oC
Winter: June to August 9 – 18oC
Spring: September to November 15 – 28oC

Australian Eastern Standard Time is GMT plus 10 hours (11 hours during Daylight Saving Time).
In Summer Daylight Saving Time runs from the end of October to the middle of March and clocks are moved forward one hour.
