This course explores approaches to drawing the human figure, predominantly from life. Male or
female nude models will be the subject of your drawing. At the end of the week you will have a
folio of many drawings that will show increased skill and understanding in both observational and
interpretative drawing and the relationship between image and process. This will provide a valuable
platform for major works or a further series of drawings.
Friday January 23. The course concludes with a 1 hour
exhibition from 12-1pm of the students’ work, followed at 1pm with a short ceremony at which the
Dean, Professor Ian Howard, awards certificates to students.
