Naaz Hanson-Kerr
Bachelor of Art Education
Naaz Hanson-Kerr chose to study for her Bachelor of Art Education at COFA based on reputation and “its comprehensive course structure in which art making is as important as the education specific subjects.” The training she got in public speaking at COFA has given Naaz the “confidence to be able to teach a classroom full of students” and remains one of the most valuable things she has learnt at COFA.
Naaz describes her Professional Experience Placement, in which she taught real classes in a high school, as “invaluable” and a memorable experience. She recently won the COFA Undergraduate Award and she is also a designer. Naaz has had two of her poster designs appear in the Australian films Chopper and Lantana. Her aim is to teach while also continuing her graphic design practice.
