ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- All applications are assessed on the basis of previous academic achievement.
- COFA does not conduct applicant interviews or consider portfolios.
School Leavers
Have you completed high school in Australia or overseas?
(Or are you just about to?)
- UNSW accepts NSW HSC and interstate Year 12 results.
- UNSW also accepts the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB), A Levels, NZ NCEA Level 3 and other selected overseas secondary qualifications for admission.
- UNSW awards bonus ATAR points to students who have performed well in HSC subjects relevant to the program they are applying for.

Have you already completed other tertiary qualifications?
If you have attempted study after high school you will be considered for selection on the basis of your overall record: both secondary and tertiary studies.
In general, greater weight will be given to your tertiary record.
- TAFE/Private College qualifications
Completed AQF qualifications including Certificate Level IV, associate diploma, diploma or advanced diploma are considered for admission. - Trade certificates
Trade certificates are not acceptable. - Degree Level Studies
If you have successfully completed the equivalent of one year of full time university study in Australia you are eligible to be considered for admission. - International
University studies undertaken overseas may also be considered.
Mature age students
If you do not possess any of the qualifications outlined above, there are other avenues available. The most appropriate will depend on age, previous educational qualifications and the program you would like to study.

HOW DO I APPLY?
All domestic applicants (Australian and NZ citizens or permanent residents), and international students who are completing an Australian Year 12 or IB qualification apply using the UAC Apply-by-Web facility
- A processing fee applies
- Closing date for all on-time applications is usually at the end of September.
- Late applications will be accepted until early February.
