Peer Mentoring at COFA

Got lots of questions about Uni life and are not sure who to ask?
Feeling a little lost or overwhelmed?
Like to get a head-start on making new friends?

Beginning your first year at University can be challenging.  COFA at UNSW is committed to ensuring all students are provided with appropriate assistance when first starting University. The COFA Peer Mentoring Program can help you with the transition to University life and can provide opportunities for you to link up with both new and current students.

COFA invites all new students to participate in the Peer Mentoring Program. COFA Peer Mentors are all current COFA students, whose experience and mentor training means they can provide the right kind of help for those just starting out.

What’s Involved?
•    Events and meetings over the first 6 weeks of Session 1, both on campus and local venues.
•    Linking up with an experienced student from your degree (this can be as informal as you and your mentor like)
•    Getting support and advice in those crucial first few weeks
•    Meeting other first year students in your degree and beyond

How to join in:
Fill out the online application form in the Forms section.

Your first meeting with your mentor will be during Orientation Week. (Details are posted in the O-Week schedule.)
