The principal academic body within the Faculty of COFA is the Faculty Board which consists of all
academic members of Faculty, various nominees and student representatives. The Board meets
bi-annually and delegates authority to the Faculty Standing Committee, Education Committee,
the Research Committee and the Resources and Planning Committee.
The day to day governance of the Faculty is the responsibility of the Dean who is appointed
by UNSW Council. The Dean is assisted in this role by the Faculty elected Presiding Member, the
Associate Deans, the Heads of Schools and the Faculty Manager who together form the Deans Working
Group.
