Photomedia at COFA is concerned with the issues of analogue and digital image production within the context of national and international contemporary visual arts practice.

Emphasis is placed on conceptual and practical investigations through specific projects designed to promote the acquisition of technical skills and foster critical, individual interpretations in addition to conceptual and aesthetic development.

Photomedia provides students with an expanding view of the different approaches to the expression and realisation of their concepts through analogue, digital and interdisciplinary techniques and processes.

The photomedia curriculum constantly responds to innovations, concepts and emerging technologies as expressive and integral tools.

Photomedia is strongly focused towards the post-graduate programmes and research within the areas of photographic and digital integrated media within a critical contemporary art context.

Photomedia at COFA can be studied at these levels:
