Staff Profiles

Tom Ellard has over thirty years experience in media arts production. As well as significant career in commercial electronic music he has scored for television and film, authored DVDs, performed live video in venues worldwide and worked in commercial video signage. Tom also has five years experience in layout / print design for advertising, specializing in cross media campaigns.

Tom is currently researching for a Doctor of Creative Arts. The end result is planned to be a series of broadcasts performed on a system for video retrieval and composition. In realising this system a number of issues in ontology have to be addressed from the perspective of the video composer.
