Dr Angela Wilson

PhD, MA (Special Education), BA (Hons), Diploma in Deaf Education, Teacher's Certificate

Dr Wilson is an experienced lecturer, researcher, consultant and teacher in special education of children and adults with disabilities.  She has presented papers at local, national and international conferences over a number of years.

She is an Honorary Senior Research Fellow in the Spina Bifida Unit of The Children's Hospital at Westmead where she has researched and developed strategies to improve the executive functioning skills of children with spina bifida and hydrocephalus.  In 2007 she authored a CD entitled Strategies for Successul Students, published by the Spina Bifida Unit at CHW. She is also a member of the National Learning Program Advisory Committee of Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Dr Wilson also lectures at the University of Sydney and conducts workshops for Teacher Training Australia.

Rewards include the Ramacotti Foundation Fellowship, the Thomas T Roberts Fellowship and the Alexander Mackie Research Fellowship from the Faculty of Education and Social Work at the University of Sydney.  In 2007 she was awarded the Dean's Inaugual Award for Teaching at COFA.
